This article describes design decisions that will be rediscussed before their implementation in the future, and as such are not final.
Tech Objects, or TOs, are structures created in the Tech Editor. They are built from Function Parts or smaller TOs by the player. Tech Objects can include tools, means of transportation, shelters, and more, and are defined in their function by the player's tags - as well as a list of "ghost tags" assigned by the game's assessment of what a Tech Object can and cannot do.
Tech Objects are crucial to both the player and to NPC races after sapience has been achieved. They can make or break a civilization, and falling behind in the research needed to create new and better TOs is not recommended.
